The Old Water Mill scene

Hello there! I’m back in TV land today, demonstrating on Create & Craft TV for ClarityCrafts with the new ‘Linda’s Country Scenes’ stamp sets. They’ve previously been available as Groovi plates for the parchment crafters, but us stampers can now join the party! This card uses the ‘The Old Water Mill’ scenic stamp and was my first demo on the 1pm show today (I’ve got more to come at 4pm!) These stamps look great on a range of backgrounds.

So, I started by cutting down a small square (10.5cm sq) of the Waimea Falls paper and stamped the scene into the centre of it using black Archival ink. I then highlighted parts of the image using Pergaliner pencils – that’s the great thing about using one of the designer papers as you don’t have to colour the whole scene, just make the colours in the paper work for you.

I added the sentiment above & below the image (this one’s from the ‘Just Wheels & Wings’ set) and popped it on a mount of black card. I then used a square embedder to create a frame on the front of a 6×6 card blank and attached the topper into it.

Thanks for dropping in! I’m heading back onto screen shortly, but first I’ll pop over to AAA Colourful and Addicted to Stamps challenges to share this with them.

  1. What a great idea to stamp on patterned paper and I love how you pencil coloured items in the image to make them pop! Such a lovely card.

Thanks for sharing with us at Addicted to Stamps and More.
