February daisies

Hello there. I’m carrying on with my latest Clarity Craft Club goodies, today with the ‘daisies’ stamp that arrived earlier this month. Sadly, I need a few sympathy cards (it’s that time of year!) and I thought the colours from The Paper Players would work for that. I’m also going to share it as another contribution to Colorful Options‘ ‘pink’ theme.

I started with one of the small squares of stencil card and attached it to the front of a 6×6 card with a loop of low tack tape. I then brushed a light pink ink across the clouds mask, folloiwed by grey across the hills mask to create a landscape that flowed across the card. I next stamped the bunch of daisies in black ink, coloured the leaves with the ink and a waterbrush and highlighted the flower with a pink Pergaliner pencil.

I was still at my sister’s when I made this card, so raided her stash for the sentiment before running a black Sharpie around the edges of the stencil card and adding shadow under the leaves with an HB pencil. I wish now that I’d stamped the daisies a little lower, so they sat across the bottom of the card – one for next time! Having done all that, I just attached the square of card back in place on the card front.

Thanks for dropping in. There are green shoots appearing in my garden, so I’m hoping it won’t be too long before I’ve got some spring flowers!

  1. Beautiful, Deborah! I love the scene you created with the clouds and the hills. This is such a serene card. Thank you for sharing with The Paper Players this week!
