The earth sings in flowers

Hello crafty friends. Today’s card uses the stamp from Clarity‘s January Craft Club, which I’ve only just got round to inking! I’m going to share it as a second contribution to Addicted to Stamps‘ challenge

I decided to do a bit of over-stamping on this one, so first cut a mask out for the floral frame image. I stamped the frame in the centre of a square of white card to start with, then masked it off and stamped again over the top left and bottom right corners of the image, turning the stamp round so I didn’t have identical flowers next to each other.

It was them out with my favourite Pergaliner pencils to shade the flowers – I was aiming for spring-like colours. I shaded the frames in with an HB pencil, then added the sentiment in the middle.

I then simply mounted it on a layer of purple card (having tried it against every colour I’d used on the flowers…!) and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I’ve spent the weekend with my sister and we managed to fit in some time to craft together – we both used our Craft Club stamps today and I love how we can use the same products and yet produce very different cards! That’s the joy of crafting!
