sending love your way

Hello there! I realised I hadn’t shared this card that I demo’d on TV last month using the KISS ‘sunshine doodles’ stamps designed by Tina Cox for ClarityCrafts, so let’s put that right. It picks up the ‘pink’ theme from both Simply Clean & Simple and Colorful Options, together with the ‘love’ theme from The Paper Players

I started with a square of stencil card cut down to fit 6×6 card blank and masked off a panel with low tack tape (I placed the stamp on the card so I could put tape either side to get my panel the right width). I brushed ‘salvaged patina’ Distress Oxide across the panel, then repeat stamped the ‘sending love your way’ circle across the panel (doing the two outer ones first, then lining up the centre one). I added the single flower in the centre circle (masking off the wording at the bottom) and the double ones either side, together with the butterfly.

i then simply shaded the flowers with Pergaliner pencils (well, KISS does stand for Keep It Simple Stamping)

I decided not to add a coloured frame, so just glued a scrap of card onto the back of the topper and attached it to a 6×6 card blank (adding the card layer just makes the topper stand slightly off the card front so it has a little dimension)

Have you checked out Clarity’s half-price member’s sale yet? It’s available to everyone who’s joined their Craft Club (not too late to sign up, either) and there are some fab bargains to be grabbed!

  2. Love those sentiment circles and the flowers Deborah – such a great sense of whimsy to this card. The shading is really effective too. Thanks for playing along with my LOVE challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
