Hello there! Today’s card is a first play with the new ‘infusions’ collage papers from ClarityCrafts. They’re a lighter weight (80gsm) than their designer papers and designed specifically for use on collages, although I’ve gone with paper piecing my stamped image, combining two of the new sets – ‘hibiscus’ and ‘chamomile’.

I started with a piece of the ‘hibiscus’ paper, trimmed it down and stamped ‘Tina’s floral spray’ onto it with black Archival ink. I restamped the flowers onto a small piece of the ‘chamomile’ paper and the larger leaves onto an offcut of the ‘hibiscus’ and fussy cut each piece (it’s quite easy as the paper is quite robust, even though it’s just 80gsm). I glued each flower and leaf into place, then used a Pergaliner pencil to colour the smaller floral and leafy sprays, filling in the stems with a micron pen.

I added a black mount, attached the topper to a 7×7 card blank and finished with a few word stickers.

I love the subtle patterns on these papers – Barbara made them using tea staining (hence the names of each pack!) This card’s going to be shared with Inkspirational as their theme is paper piecing!
