Hello crafty friends – I’m back after being missing for a couple of days. Today’s card uses the summer set from ClarityCrafts‘ ‘Linda’s bijou children through the seasons’. It does seem odd to be sharing this in the freezing UK temperatures, and I’m not sure I’d want to be up in a hot air balloon just at the moment (or ever, if I’m totally honest!)

This is a simple one-layer card. I masked a panel on a 5×5 card blank using low tack tape and then brushed ‘broken china’ Distress Oxide across Clarity’s clouds mask. I cut a mask for the little hot air balloon and then repeat stamped it across the panel.

I shaded the balloons with a rainbow of Pergaliner pencils and used a micron pen to doodle a deckled edge across the panel. The final touch was one of the word stickers.

I do love watching those balloon festivals that take place in the summer – you always get such a fantastic array of designs and it’s amazing to see them all floating away (but obviously with me firmly on the ground!) I’m heading off to share this little regatta (apparently that’s the collective noun) with the challenges at Inkspirational, Stencil Fun and Simply Clean & Simple

It is a pretty and creative take on the challenges. Love it and I would enjoy a ride in one personally. We have had a lot of snow and because of where I live it has been a bit problematic on a few levels. I’ve been off the computer for a couple of days because of it.
