12 Days of Clarity 2023 – August

Hello crafty friends and welcome to day 7 of my 12 Days of Clarity, working back through last year’s Craft Club stamps. Today I’m sharing the ‘splats’ stamps from August – some more that I’ve decided to use as flowers, picking up the new colours from Color Hues

I started with the three single splats and stamped them onto a small square of stencil card with ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxide. I drew in the stems and leaves with a micron pen, then coloured the leaves with the ‘chipped sapphire’ and a waterbrush.

Out came my favourite clouds mask, blending ‘broken china’ Disress Oxide across it for the sky, followed by a little more of the ‘chipped sapphire’ across the hills mask to ground the flowers.

I added one of the ‘occasions’ sentiments in black Archival ink and ran a black Sharpie around the card edges. I used a square embedder to create a frame on the fromt of a 5×5 card blank, and attached the topper in the centre.

Thanks for dropping in. Life is getting back to normal this week after the Christmas & New Year celebrations, which always feels like a bit of a shock!
