Happy New Year everyone! I’m starting 2024 with a design team card for the new challenge at Love to Craft and, as always, the theme is ‘anything goes’. I’ve been trying to clear out some of my stash box of part finished pieces and found this die cut using ClarityCrafts ‘art nouveau tulips’ aperture die, which I decided deserved to be used.

I started by attaching the die cut to a piece of Clarity’s Antarctica paper. I thought the tulips needed some more definition, so got out my trusty Pergaliner pencils and shaded in the leaves and flowers.

I then simply attached it to a 6×6 card blank, adding a word sticker which I’d mounted onto a layer of white card to give it a narrow border.

Is it too early for tulips? I don’t think so (I’m sure they’re grown in hothouses these days!) But never mind the horticultural debate, come on over to Love to Craft and share your creations with us – our challenge runs until 15th February.
