Hello again! I’m starting the New year with a double share – this time it’s the next in my 12 Days of Clarity series, working back through Clarity‘s Craft Club stamps from 2023. I’ve gone a bit left field with this one – the ‘flowers like friends’ stamps (#201) was from July, but I thought they would work as poinsettias on a Christmas card for the new challenge at Christmas (or not) Bingo I’ve also picked up the inspiration photo from The Card Concept.

We’ve got a change to our challenge blog for the New Year as well – we are no longer strictly a Christmas challenge, but have opened it up to ALL occasions! This means you are welcome to create a project for ANY holiday, season or occasion using the featured BINGO card! Just remember that you simply choose one of the columns (B,I,N,G or O) and include at least three of the elements on your card. Here’s our new challenge card – I went with column I, picking up gemstones, stamped image and square.

So, on to my card. The first step was to stamp the flowers around each side of one of Clarity’s small stencil card squares. I then used a waterbrush to colour the images with ‘festive berries’ and ‘rustic wilderness’ Distress Oxides.

I added a narrow mount of white and a layer of green card before attaching the topper to a 5×5 card blank on which I’d used a square embedder to create a frame for it to sit within.

Finally, I stamped one of the ‘merry little Christmas’ quote stamps into the centre and finished with a few sparkly green gems.

So what do you think of my summer flowers repurposed for Christmas? Our BINGO card challenge doesn’t have to be a Christmas card, so choose a column and come and play along – we’d love to see what you create!

Hi Deborah, and Happy New Year! Your card is so cute and clever. I love how you used summer flowers to create a Christmas Card. And if I didn’t look carefully at all the photos I wouldn’t have caught on that the image was in a cutout frame. That is such a polished look. It’s great to play alongside of you at Christmas (or not) BINGO Challenges. I hope you have a great day and a wonderful year too! 🙂

They do look like poinsettias, don’t they – especially when coloured like this. Lovely card xx
