Hello there! It’s day 5 of my 12 Days of Clarity, so today I’ve used one of the ‘grunge shapes’ stamps from May’s Craft Club. I was inspired by Jane Telford’s card on the club project sheet (using the heart to make a flower) and picked up the colours from Global Design Project to give it a spring feel (which is hopefully not too far away!)

I started by stamping the heart twice with ‘squeezed lemonade’ Distress Oxide onto a small stencil card square, lining the points up with each other. I could then add in two more to complete the flower.

I remembered the little heart stamps in the KISS ‘best wishes flowers’ set – the smallest one was perfect to stamp in ‘saltwater taffy’ Distress Oxide to give my flower a centre. I cut four heart masks from a sticky note, then covered my flower with them and lightly brushed ‘salvaged patina’ around the edges.

After adding one of the ‘occasions’ sentiments, I mounted the topper onto a piece of light blue card and attached it to a 5×5 card blank.

Thanks for dropping in. Hard to believe that 2023 is nearly over, but I’ll be back with one last card for the year tomorrow.

Using the heart stamps the way you did was very creative and has given me an idea for a card of my own. Love this one.
