12 Days of Clarity 2023 – March

Hello there and welcome to day 3 of my 2023 12 Days of Clarity lookback through my Clarity Craft Club stamps – at least that was the plan until I discovered that I couldn’t find 4 of them, which had arrived while I was away travelling this year, or shortly after! I’ve searched high & low, but they’re obviously in a ‘safe place’…! My lovely friend is lending me hers until mine turn up, but they haven’t arrived yet so today’s card uses the stencil from March (which would have arrived with that month’s stamp, but never mind…)

I started with a piece of Indian Summer designer paper and masked off the outer edge of the stencil so I just had the inner heart & butterfly. I used a spot-on sponge to add ‘villainous potion’ Distress Oxide to fill in the heart, leaving the butterfly clear. Before removing the stencil I used a fine micron pen to outline the pattern on the butterfly’s wings.

I highlighted the wings with a couple of co-ordinating Pergaliner pencils, to give them a little depth.

To finish I added a narrow white mount, then a layer of Northern Lights companion paper and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I hope you like it. Once my friend’s stamps arrive I’ll catch up with myself and share the March one with you!

  1. We’ve all done it! Its funny when it happens to someone else. For sure they will turn up one of these days. In the meantime you’ve made another very pretty card. I think your stenciling is really great.
