Well here I am with another Christmas card (just for a change!) – a second offering with the new ‘twiggy bauble’ stamp set from Clarity Crafts. I’ve taken the colours from Color Throwdown and the layout from Freshly Made Sketches – it’s a loose interpretation, so I hope the FMS team are feeling generous! I’ve also included the left hand column (December holiday, metallic, free) from TicTacToe‘s grid.

I started with a piece of my favourite Antarctica designer paper which had the perfect combination of blue & aqua. I thought the dark blue smudge on it would nicely reflect the sketch from FMS, so trimmed it down to keep that as the focus.

I stamped the round bauble in place and heat embossed it with WOW’s gold metallic powder. I added the little hanger and extended it to the top of the paper with a micron pen & ruler. I wanted to make the bauble stand out more, so coloured it with ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxide and a waterbrush.

I added the sentiment with the ‘chipped sapphire’, then mounted the paper on a layer of dark blue card and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

It’s all very well that I’m still sharing Christmas cards but I really do now need to finish getting them written and in the post!
