pentagon frame wreath

Hello crafty friends. Here I am with today’s card, which uses the same stamps (ClarityCrafts ‘winter tags & frames’) as yesterday’s but this time stepped up a bit further! This one fits the challenges at Inspire.Create and Peace on Earth, plus a second offering for The Paper Players

I’m back to traditional colours today with good old red and green, so strated by stamping the pentagon frame in ‘library green’ Archival ink. I then masked off the frame part of the stamp (the easiest way to do this is with tape over the stamp before inking it, but don’t forget to take it off before stamping!) and repeat stamped it around the outside of the inner image, lining up the bows with the corner points of the frame.

You won’t be surprised to know that I then coloured the foliage and bows with my Pergaliner pencils!

I added the centre sentiment with the ‘library green’ and then decided to repeat stamp ‘Christmas’ around the outer edge of the wreath as well. I mounted the card onto a piece of Northern Lights companion paper and attached it to a 7×7 card blank.

Having finished it, I sat worrying that I’d overdone it with the additional sentiments, but it has now grown on me! What do you think?
