Hello crafty friends. There’s another collection of new goodies coming from ClarityCrafts tomorrow – seasonal tags and frames. I’m still in a Christmas crafting mood, so here’s an early peek at one of my design team cards using the winter set. This card ties a few challenges together – the colours from TGIF challenges, the CAS style and optional red & green from Simply Clean & Simple and the glitter from Inkspirational.
I started by stamping the tree frame onto a scrap piece of white card in black Versafine Clair ink. I part shaded it with a green Pergaliner watercolour pencil, then used a waterbrush to shade out the pigment across the tree – this is a great technique for getting shade in the colouring.
I went round the frame with a red pencil and again used the waterbrush to blend it around the inner edge. Once fully dry, I fussy cut the image, then mounted it on a small white square and a layer of Amazonia companion paper. I created the frame on a 5×5 card front with a small square embedder and attached the topper in the centre.
I felt it needed a little more of something so dug out my Stickles glitter glue and added a few sparkly baubles to the tree.
As you can see, these stamps still beautifully in my happy CAS place! I’ll be back with a look at the summer set tomorrow.

You do beautiful work! I don’t do stamps….mostly sticker cards so I envy your creative abilities. God gifts us all in different ways:)
