two gnomes, two ways

Hello there! I’m back with another double offering today, this time using the same stamp from ClarityCrafts’ ‘gnomes billboards‘ set but with a different colour palette on each card. I’ve pulled several challenges together as inspiration for these, starting with the gnomes from Inspired by‘s photo. The first card uses the colours from The Paper Players and pulls in bright colours, enamel dots and two of something from Festive Friday‘s list – I just realised that the gnomes have got little hands as well…! The card on the right takes the right hand column of cream, festive sentiment & navy from TicTacToe‘s grid.

So, on to the cards! I started them both in the same way, by cutting a mat using one of Clarity’s ‘nested square hearts frame-it panels’ dies, then stamped the image and heat embossed it with WOW’s superfine gold powder.

I then set about colouring the images with Pergaliner pencils, using red & green for the first one and navy with a cream Polychromo pencil for the second.

I attached each topper to a co-ordinating card mount and then onto 6×6 card blanks. I stamped the words onto each using Archival inks and finished with a couple of enamel dots – a small white one on the girlie gnome’s hat and a contrasting heart over the little heart on the frame.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ll be back tomorrow with a peek at some more exciting new goodies!
