Hello there! I’m delighted to have been invited along as guest designer for the new challenge at Christmas Craft Creations. This month’s theme is ‘add a hat’ and I immediately thought of ClarityCrafts ‘family of penguins’ stamp set – this little one looks well wrapped up! I’ve taken the colours from Less Is More and will also share this with Merry Little Christmas

The first step was to create a frame on the front of a 6×6 card blank using one of Clarity’s square embedders. As a reminder, I just attached the plastic square to the card front using a bit of doubled over low tack tape, opened the card, located the edge of the square from inside the card using a bone folder and then sharpened the crease with a ball tool. I used the latest stencil from Clarity’s craft club, isolated one of the large snowflakes using low tack tape and brushed ‘broken china’ Distress Oxide across it.

I stamped the little penguin onto a piece of scrap card using black Archival ink and shaded his hat & scarf using pink Pergaliner pencils I fussy cut him and attached to the card front with a small bit of scrap card glued on the back for a little more dimension, finishing with the sentiment from the stamp set.

So come on – get your Christmas hats out and come and join us at Christmas Craft Creations!
