Hello crafty friends and welcome to an early peek at some more new goodies heading our way this weekend from ClarityCrafts. ‘Linda’s bijou children through the seasons’ is another collection that started out life as Groovi plates for the parchment crafters and have now been turned into stamps. Today’s card uses the ‘summer’ set – I have to say summer does seem a long way away now thanks to the impact of two major storms across the UK in recent weeks!

This is a great set of smaller stamps and I decided to use them with the ‘clean and tidy square layout’ outline stamp in black on a piece of white card. I used the masks that come with the layout stamp to cover up the various areas of the image, then used the clouds and hills masks with ‘broken china’ & ‘mowed lawn’ Distress Oxide to create the landscapes, leaving the box across the bottom white.

I added the children images, together with the hot air balloon and some foliage, colouring them with Pergaliner pencils.

I finished by adding the sentiments from the small accessories set and edging the card with a black Sharpie, before attaching it to a 6×6 kraft card blank.

So you won’t be surprised to learn that there are four sets of these stamps – one for each season! Barbara Gray will be launching them tomorrow (Sunday) on Create & Craft TV at 3pm UK time – tune in for lots more inspiration!
