inky star flowers

Hello crafty friends! I’ve got a busy day with design team cards and here’s my second offering, this time for Love to Craft where our theme (as always) is ‘anything goes’. I’ve had another play with the ‘star flowers’ stamp that ClarityCrafts released last week, this time with the larger A5 set and the Japanese sentiment, once again picking up the theme of the quote at Time Out.

I found a piece of stencil card in my stash that I’d used to mop up ink from my craft mat in lovely shades of pink, purple & green and stamped the star flower image onto it with black Archival ink. The background does a lot of the work here, so I just kept it simple and shaded the flowers and leaves with Pergaliner pencils.

I added three of the new small Japanese sentiments that I thought worked well together, scattering them around the flowers, then mounted the card on a layer of white paper and onto a black 7×7 card blank.

This is such a beautiful floral spray – I think you’re going to be seeing a lot more of it! Meanwhile, come on over to Love to Craft and share your creations with us – the new challenge runs until 15th December.
