Welcome to my crafty blog and an outing for ClarityCrafts ‘treescape – three way overlay’ stamp set. I need some more masculine cards in my stash and this is such a great image. I’ve taken a fairly loose interpretation of the sketch at Atlantic Hearts together with the palette from Color Throwdown for this card.

I decided not to use the outline stamp from the set and just use the infill and background ones. Starting with the infill stamp, I sponged ‘hickory smoke’ and ‘ripe persimmon’ Distress Oxides onto it and stamped it onto a piece of card that I’d cut down to fit a 5×7 card blank. I lpopped one of the mini moon masks onto the trees. I then lined up the background stamp using my platform, sponged ‘rustic wilderness’ and ‘broken china’ onto it and stamped it over the trees.

I wrapped some grey twine round the card, tying a bow in it. I added some scrap card to the reverse so there was a channel for the twine to run through, then attached it to a mount of grey card and onto the 5×7 card blank, finishing with a word sticker.

Thanks for dropping in at the end of another busy day. I’ll be back with another offering tomorrow.

Very striking in it’s simplicity – until you read what you have done and how you have achieved it….brilliant.
