All you need is love

Hello crafty friends! Today’s card features another of the new quote stamps from ClarityCrafts, which I’ve teamed up with the ‘henna happy anniversary’ stamp set for a wedding card. I’ve picked up the colours from Creative Colour Challenges (although I used a darker grey than in their palette) and am also going to share it with Simply Clean & Simple

The first step was to die cut the heart aperture into the front of a 6×6 card blank. I also cut a mask from copy paper, then lined it up on the inside of the card and brushed ‘kitsch flamingo’ & ‘picked raspberry’ Distress Oxides through it. I then stamped the quote into place using ‘watering can’ Archival ink.

I next stamped the floral swirl from the ‘henna happy anniversary’ set along the side of the heart, again using the ‘watering can’. I used my platform for this and first popped a piece of scrap paper inside the card to cover the heart while I stamped the image on the card front. I left the stamp in place on the platform, folded the card open, positioned the copy paper outer mask back over the heart and stamped the image onto the inside. Doing it this way meant I didn’t get a ‘halo’ on the image from the edge of the aperture. I then shaded the images with Pergaliner pencils in pinks & purples.

The finishing touch was to add the swirl from the henna set either side of the quote.

Thanks for dropping in. I do like this clean & simple look with most of the art work on the iside of the card – I might have to try a few more like this!
