feathers & swirls stencil

Hello there! I didn’t manage to share a card yesterday thanks to a full round of work meetings, but I’m back today! I’ve had a play with the latest stencil from Clarity‘s Craft Club for this one to create the background using the colours from Color Dare and the sketch from TGIF challenges – I also thought it fitted the fall (autumn) theme at Stencil Fun

I laid the sentil on a square of white card cut to fit on a 6×6 card blank and brushed ‘dried marigold’ Distress Oxide through it. I turned the card 90 degrees, then lightly brushed ‘barn door’ through the stencil (it’s the nearest shade I’ve got to the one in the challenge). Finally, I turned the card 90 degrees again and brushed ‘iced spruce’ through the stencil, which gave me this lovely multicoloured effect.

I cut the stencil into three pieces and mounted the outer two onto a square of Northern Lights complanion paper, attaching it to the front of a 6×6 card blank. I popped the remaining strip onto another piece fo the paper and then added that to the card front, to pick up the sketch. I finished with one of the ‘occasions’ sentiments’ in ‘watering can’ Archival ink, again mounted on a piece of the Northern Lights paper, with a few Glossies gems and two of Clarity’s handmade paper flowers in a matching green

Thanks for dropping in. I’ll be back tomorrow with a sneak peek of some more new products from Clarity that are launching this week!
