Welcome to my crafty blog and a first look at ClarityCrafts‘ brand new ‘wish upon a star’ stamp set, part of the ‘Linda’s Christmas Compendium’ collection. I thought it would work perfectly for my design team card for the new Alphabet Challenge of M for Monochrome, just using white heat embossing on kraft card. I’m also going to share it with Peace on Earth and AAA cards (stars fit their theme, I thought)

I started with a square of kraft card to fit a 6×6 card blank and first stamped the large star and the two corner flourishes, heat embossing them with WOW’s superfine white powder. I next added the smaller stars and the sentiment, again heat embossing them in white

I wanted to anchor the large star to the corner flourish, so use my WOW embossing pen to draw a line of clear ink which I could then emboss. I added a narrow mount of white card and attached the whole piece to a 6×6 kraft card blank.
