sporty birthday

Welcome to my crafty blog and a birthday card for a football fan! I’ve used one of ClarityCrafts tag dies as the topper on this card (I really should use them more often, they make a nice change from a square or circle). I took inspiration for this card from the challenges at The Paper Players and Less is More and I’ll also share it with Happy Little Stampers for their birthday challenge.

I started with an offcut of Rainbow RIver designer paper from my stash, edged it with a black Sharpie and a ruler and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I cut the second smallest tag from the die set frm a scrap piece of white card and used the ‘build a scene – hills & clouds’ masks to create a landscape on it. I stamped the footballer from the ‘wee sports people’ set in black Versafine Clair ink, then added the words from the ‘essential sentiments’ stamp set.

I tied a bow with white twine through the hole in the tag, popped a scrap bit of card on the back to lift it slightly and attached it to the card front.

I don’t know about you, but I always find it so satisfying to make a card without cutting a new piece of paper or card!

  1. Love this Deborah! That DSP is the perfect background and I love the detail on the tag. Thanks so much for joining us this week over at The Paper Players!
