Good evening! Bit of a late post today – I’ve been at a village fete with my son this afternoon, running a stall selling my cards and his art work. We made a few sales but also got to talk to people about what we each do, which is so enjoyable. And now on to today’s card, which uses ‘Tina’s Robins – 2 way overlay Christmas ornaments’ stamps from ClarityCrafts – love these little festive birds!

I stamped the two robin outlines twice each and heat embossed them with WOW superfine gold metallic powder. I then used a waterbrush with ‘festive berries’ & ‘lucky clover’ Distress Oxides to colour the birds & leaves.

Having let them dry, I mounted the topper onto layers of red & gold card and then attached it to a 5×5 card blank, finishing with the ‘four calling birds’ sentiment from the ‘bijou 12 Days of Christmas verses’ stamp set.

I know they’re technically not ‘calling birds’, but I thought it fitted this little quartet! I’m sharing them with the challenges at Peace on Earth and Happy Little Stampers
