Clarity craft club lookback – peace aperture die

Welcome to another dip back into Clarity‘s craft club – today it’s the ‘peace aperture’ die (#45) from September 2022. It’s such a lovely design and I decided to use the layout from Freshly Made Sketches to showcase it, together with the colours from CAS Colours & Sketches; I’m also going to share it with the dies and watercolour challenges at Happy Little Stampers.

Nothing too complicated with this card today. I started with a piece of watercolour card and painted ‘evergreen bough’ and ‘squeezed lemonade’ Distress Oxides onto it, adding a border in ‘chipped sapphire’. I left it to dry thoroughly, then cut the die into a piece of white card and glued that on top.

I mounted the topper onto a layer of dark blue card and attached it to a 6×6 card blank. I finished with the three little birds that I’d saved from the die cut.

Thanks for dropping in. It’s been another scorching day here in south-east England, but thankfully the temperatures will be dropping over the next few days so life should get a bit more comfortable!

  1. You’ve coloured the card panel so cleverly, Deborah! I love how the die fits perfectly over the colours – and even has the blue border. Beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CC&S this fortnight.

  2. So so so pretty! I love the water color effect you created in the background. Scattering the white doves across the card is so beautiful. Thanks for joining us in this challenge at CC&S
