ray of sunshine

I’ve got a coastal scene to share with you today using the new ‘seascape’ set from ClarityCrafts bijou two-way overlay linocut stamps. It’s been really hot again here in North East London and a trip to the coast would have been very welcome! I’m going to add this as a second contribution to Time Out‘s word challenge and Simple Clean & Simple

I started with one of my inky backgrounds from my stash – a small square of stencil card on which I’d mopped up ink from my craft mat, and then stamped the outline image into it, so that the colours sat in the right place.

It really didn’t need much else! I simply trimmed the card down, mounted it on Rainbow River companion paper & attached to a black 5×5 card blank. One of Clarity’s word stickers finished it perfectly.

Thanks for dropping in. It looks like the hot weather is here to stay through the weekend to early next week, so time to make the most of it!

  2. Oh.. this is lovely! Beautiful color palette and am amazed at how the scene looks like you spent hours coloring! I may have to mop my craft mat too 😛 Thank you for taking time out. Hope you are also inspired to join in for our current Photo challenge. Hugs ~Ishani.
