Welcome to my crafty blog and another look at a couple of the new ClarityCrafts stamp sets launched last weekend – the KISS ‘Christmas wreaths’ stamps & ‘sentiment rounds’, which are a great set of semi-circular words.

I started with card cut to fit a slimline (UK DL size) card and stamped the twiggy wreath onto it three times, heat embossing them with WOW superfine gold powder. I then coloured the berries using a red Pergacolour pen, just dotting each one (top tip – allow the pen ink to dry fully on the gold embossing or it will smudge – ask me how I know…!)

I stamped the Christmas sentiment round three times with ‘red geranium’ Archival ink, so the words flowed around the wreaths

To finish, I mounted it onto a layer of red card & attached it to the DL (slimline) card blank

I really like the way these sentiments work – it’s a nice change from straight wording. If you wanted to stamp a single wreath, the sentiment would fit around it twice to form a circular frame. I’m sharing this one with the challenges at Peace on Earth Christmas (it picks up the red in their inspiration photo_, Merry Little Christmas and TicTacToe – I took their right hand diagonal of red, yellow (I used gold) and fruit (the berries on the wreaths)

I love this. The wreath is so pretty and how you added the sentiment works beautifully

Gorgeous – great effect with the wreaths -and adding those berries really makes them pop…….I feel you about letting the ink dry on the embossing… xx
