autumn floral spray

Hello crafty friends. I’m back with one of my favourite ClarityCrafts stamps today – ‘Tina’s floral spray’. I’ve wound up with an autumnal feel on this card as I picked up the palette from Color Throwdown and the layout from Freshly Made Sketches

I started with a piece of the Amazonia designer paper, which had exactly the right colours on it, and trimmed it down to fit across the middle of a 6×6 card blank. I stamped the floral spray onto it with ‘potting soil’ Archival ink, positioning it to reflect FMS’s sketch

I shaded the flowers and leaves with Pergaliner pencils, and sponged a little ‘rustic wilderness’ Distress Oxide across the base of the flowers to ground them.

I then mounted the paper on a layer of cream card to give me a thin border at the top & bottom. I attached it to a 6×6 kraft card blank, finishing with one of the ‘entwined sentiments’ again in the ‘potting soil’.

Thanks for dropping in. Somehow it’s Monday again already, but at least we’ve got sun forecast for the next few days which always makes life feel better!

  1. Those background papers you use so often are really lovely and you use them so well. Great looking card and nice way to use your stamp. Adding the additional colour to ground them was a good idea
