flowery birthday

Hello there. Well after yesterday’s dip back into Clarity’s Craft Club, I’ve come right up to date with the latest club stamp that arrived at the end of last month. I’ve kept it nice and simple today taking inspiration from a few current challenges, with the layout from Freshly Made Sketches, three of the colours from Color Dare and the theme from Just Add Ink.

I started with a small square of card cut to fit on a 5×5 card blank and brushed ‘bundled sage’ Distress Oxide through a few of the leaves from the ‘double vine’ stencil onto two of the corners. I repositioned the stencil to add a few more leaves in, but didn’t add any more ink to my brush to give a lighter tone. I then stamped the Craft Club flowers into each of the corners.

I used a waterbrush with ‘dried marigold’ and ‘rustic wilderness’ Distress Oxides to colour in the stamped flowers & leaves, then mounted it on a piece of dark green Rainbow River companion paper and onto the 5×5 card blank. I finished with one of the ‘Occasions’ sentiments in the ‘rustic wilderness’.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ve got lots of crafting jobs to catch up on this week after being away for most of the last two, so I’ll be getting my creative head back on in the morning!
