Good morning all and welcome to our new theme of J for Jungle Animals at Alphabet Challenge! This is a fun theme chosen by Lynda, but it challenged me to start with until I remembered the chimps stamp from ClarityCrafts Craft Club back in 2018 (#138). I took further inspiration from the ‘world photography day’ list at Festive Friday, picking up black, white, landscape, aperture & squares, and am also going to share it with AAA birthday.
So, onto my card! I started with a piece of Toscana designer card and used a square nested die to cut out the piece I wanted for the main background. I used ‘fern green’ Archival ink to stamp the large leaves from Clarity’s ‘birch trees’ stamp set around the top left corner. I then stamped the chimps in black ink onto white card, used cream and grey Polychromo pencils to shade in their faces and fussy cut them before attaching them to the background card
I cut a frame in white card using the two nested square dies that were one size smaller and one size karger than the die I’d cut the background with. I stamped a few more of the birch tree leaves onto it and glued the background card to sit behind it. I then cut a further mount from the remaining Toscana card, attached it to a 6×6 card blank and layered the topper onto it, finishing with one of the ‘occasions’ sentiments.
