Hello again – I’m back with more inspiration from ClarityCrafts‘ new SHAC Vases & Foliage stamp set and, as promised, this one is even more CAS than my previous offerings! I love those dark blue glazed pots you often find in garden centres, which gave me the idea for this vase.
Once again, I started by masking a line across the a square of white card with low tack tape and then blended a little ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide onto it, then gave it a quick blast with my heat gun to make sure it was completely dry. I stamped the bottle vase in ‘chipped sapphire’, then overstamped with clear ink & heat embossed it with clear powder so it looked like glazed pottery.
I stamped the leaves in ‘evergreen bough’, which I then used to watercolour them, using ‘chipped sapphire’ for the seed pods. It looked a bit too plain at this point (even by my standards!), so I grabbed a micron pen and added dots around the seed pods, then scattered a few dotty triplets around the image.
I added the sentiment from the set in ‘chipped sapphire’, mounted the card on dark blue ‘Rainbow River’ paper and then attached it to a 6×6 card blank
Well I think that looks rather smart! I’m going to share it with Simply Clean & Simple cards – you can probably work out why!
