SHAC vase group

Welcome to my crafty blog and an early peek at the brand new SHAC ‘vase and foliage’ stamp & masks set that ClarityCrafts are launching tomorrow on Create & Craft TV (3pm and 7pm UK time).

These really lend themselves to my favourite CAS style (more of that in the next couple of days), but I decided to start on this first card by putting the masks to good use as well as then stamps. I started with a square of white card and brushed ‘pumice stone’ Distress Oxide around the edges. I then worked through the process of building up the group of vases, starting with the small squat one which I stamped in ‘peacock feathers’. I used my heat gun to make sure the ink was completely dry and then overstamped the pattern and heat embossed it with white powder. I covered it with the mask & added vases either side in ‘chipped sapphire, again heat embossing the pattern onto onto the squat vase, but leaving the tall one plain.

I covered all three vases with the pre-cut masks and stamped two more into place, this time using ‘walnut stain’ ink and again heat embossing the squat one. More masking and a final tall vase in ‘peacock feathers’ to complete the group.

I stamped the leaves to sit in the vases at the back of the group and coloured them with Pergaliner pencils

Finally, I added some ground for the vases to sit on by sponging ‘pumice stone’ across Clarity’s waterline mask and then attached the card to a 6×6 kraft card blank

Thanks for dropping in. I’m really looking forward to the launch of these stamps tomorrow – they’re a great little set and I’ll be back to share more of my design team samples.
