Hello there! I’m back with a rather tempting display of cakes today – I do love celebrating with an afternoon tea! I’ve given ‘Linda’s piece of cake’ stamp a first inking today (it’s been tucked away in my stash for longer than it should have been!) inspired by the moodboard at Just Us Girls, the ‘bon appetit’ theme at The Paper Players, the stripes from Global Design Project and the sketch from Inspire.Create

The first step was to cut three strips of ‘Indian Summer’ companion paper, attach them to a square of card and then to a 6×6 card blank

I stamped the cake stand onto a scrap piece of card, coloured it with a mix of Pergaliner and Polychromo pencils and then fussy cut it before gluing it to the card front. I added the two strings of hearts above and below using black Versafine Clair ink

The final touch came from one of the ‘Occasions’ sentiment sets.

Well, this does make a change from all the butterflies over the last week, and at least these cakes are the non-fattening version!

What a perfect colorway and stamp for our JUGS challenge this week! Your card is very pretty and I can’t believe you fussy cut it…it looks like a die cut it out! Your soft coloring really makes the card so sweet!! Thanks for joining us this week for our moodboard!
