Hello again crafty friends. Here’s another card featuring the new ‘Japanese Flowers & Butterflies’ stamps and ‘Japanese symbols’ from ClarityCrafts, which I’ve also paired with the lovely ‘japonica’ stamp.

I stared with a piece of stencil card from my stash, that I’d used to mop up ink from my craft mat in ‘evergreen bough’ & ‘squeezed lemonade’. I stamped the japonica bough onto it and added the butterfly from the ‘peace set twice, all in black Versafine Clair ink.

I used co-ordinating Pergaliner pencils to shade in the flowers and leaves, then used the infill stamp for the butterflies to add their colour. I blended ‘evergreen bough’ & ‘squeezed lemonade’ onto the stamp using Clarity’s spot-on sponges and then just overstamped the outline image. the next step was to add the ‘serenity’ stamp from the Japanese Symbols set – I thought it was just right for this card.

All that remained was to mount the card onto a piece of Clarity’s Companion Paper and attach it to a 7×7 card blank.

These stamps were flying off the shelves on yesterday’s TV shows! Barbara is back on screen (Create & Craft TV) at 10am and 2pm today, but I’m not sure what will be left for her to demonstrate with!
