Hello again! As promised, I’m back with another of my design team cards using the new SHAC bauble stamps from ClarityCrafts – this one features the snowflakes from the ‘Merry Christmas’ set.
This time I started by blending ink onto a 6×6 card blank, starting from the fold side. I used ‘chipped sapphire’ at the edge, moving to ‘mermaid lagoon’ and then ‘speckled egg’. I added a little ‘black soot’ along the edge to just darken it a bit further.
My original plan had been to put the snowflakes down the side of the card, but I decided it looked better with them along the top, so rotated my card blank to a tent fold. I stamped a few of the largest snowflake from the set in clear ink and embossed them with WOW’s bright white powder. I then used one of the smaller snowflakes and a star to fill in the rest of the sky – it’s easiest to stamp a few images at a time and then heat emboss, rather than doing them all individually.
On went the sentiment in ‘cobalt’ Archival ink and it was finished. This could be quite a good design for batchmaking cards – always useful for Christmas.
Thanks for dropping in and I hope you’re enjoying these stamps. I’ll be sharing more cards with them over the next couple of days, but before then I’m off to add this to the gallery for the ‘heat embossing’ theme at Christmas Craft Creations and the Christmas challenge at Happy Little Stampers
CAS perfection even though you are using a mixture of different snowflakes. I like the design and the inks you used for the sky.
