You may well wonder what I’m doing sharing a Christmas card on what’s been the hottest weekend of the year in the UK so far! Well, the ‘noel aperture’ (#34 from October 2021) is the next die in my trip back into Clarity’s craft club, so it just had to be done! Helpfully, the current challenge at Inkspirational is ‘seasonal’ – I’ve already contributed a summery card so this one gives me a good balance. I’m also going to share it with the dies and Christmas challenges at Happy Little Stampers

I started by cutting the die into the centre of a 6×6 card blank. I took a piece of Clarity’s ‘Antarctica’ designer card, cut it into a square and then used a nested die to cut the centre out, leaving me a frame (more of that in a minute). I glued the central square onto the inside of the card front to back the die cut.

I had some silver glittery card in my stash, so cut the die again into a square of that. I then paper pieced the baubles with the silver card.

The final touch was to add the frame that I’d cut from the square of ‘Antarctica’ card onto the card front, which finished the design off perfectly.

And of course, I’d also got the silver die cut that I’d taken the paper piecing from, so attached that to another card blank. That’s a really easy way to use this die if you need to batch make a number of cards.

Thanks for dropping in. Clarity’s craft clubs are great value for getting new products every month. The die club has sadly been discontinued but all the back issues are available on the website, together with details of the other clubs (stamps, stencils & Groovi).

The PP is lovely – I thought you had created it actually. Love the die cut and paper piecing. You need patience to do that especially on the smaller die sets. Great card.
