beautifully happy birthday

Hello there! I’m a bit late sharing a card this evening – had a fab day out catching up with a friend for lunch, but I’m here now. I’ve given the ‘beautifully happy’ set from the current Stampin’ Up! Saleabration another outing, this time using the colours from Colour INKspiration, the sketch from Atlantic Hearts and the ‘saleabration’ theme from TGIF challenges

I’ve actually gone double with TGIF’s Saleabration theme, as I started with a piece of the ‘dandy delights’ DSP in ‘balmy blue’, trimmed the edge with a retired scallops die and attached it to an A6 card blank.

I stamped the floral spray from ‘beautifully happy’ onto a piece of watercolour card with ‘shadow grey’ Archival ink, then used a waterbrush to colour it in ‘polished pink’, ‘evening evergreen’ & ‘orchid oasis’. I fussy cut it and attached to the card front (but forgot to grab a photo at that point!) I added a strip of ‘orchid oasis’ patterned paper across the card front, topped with a die cut banner onto which I’d stamped the sentiment from ‘art gallery’.

I added a few ‘orchid oasis’ resin dots and was going to finish there, but thought it needed something else. I stamped the little flower from the set onto the watercolour card and coloured it in ‘polished pink’ & ‘evening evergreen’, as I had with the larger spray. I fussy cut it and glued it onto the end of the die cut banner – just what was needed!

Thanks for dropping in. I’ll be back with another offering tomorrow.
