Hello crafty friends. I’m back with another card using ‘Hazel’s butterfly’ from Julie Hickey Designs, this time teamed with the ‘circles medley’ stamp. I decided to go with the colour palette from Color Throwdown and the layout from Freshly Made Sketches

I started by stamping the circles in ‘watering can’ Archival ink across the top of a square of white card. I used red & pink watercolour pencils to shade in the outer part of the circles, then blended the colour out with a waterbrush.

I stamped the medium butterfly twice in clear ink and embossed them with WOW’s metallic gold powder. I coloured them with the pencils and waterbrush and fussy cut both images. I added several of the little word stamps into the circles, attached the topper to a 5×5 card blank and then added the butterflies (just a little glue under their bodies)

I finished with one of Julie’s ‘just a note’ sentiments and a few gold Glossies.

Thanks for dropping in. Apologies for the quality of these photos – I’ve been having real problems with my lighting, but hopefully you can still get the full effect of the card.
