Twinkle twinkle Christmas star

Well here we are at Christmas Eve, so I thought we should have some stars shining brightly in the sky with the retired Stampin’ Up! ‘stars are shining’ set. I took the layout from Global Design Project and combined it with TGIF challenges‘ theme of ‘punches’.

I mounted a square of the retired SU ‘gold and silver’ DSP onto a layer of gold card and attached them to a 6×6 card blank.

I cut a small square of the gold card, shaped two of the corners with a corner rounder punch and attached it to the card front. I heat embossed the sentiment in WOW’s metallic gold, die cut it with one of the SU ‘tasteful labels’ and added that to the card.

I stamped the group of stars and heat embossed them with the metallic gold, then used the co-oprdinating punch to cut them all out (it does the whole group in one go!) I just added them all to the card front, some on foam pads and others directly to the card, and it was done!

I’m heading down to my church now for our ‘Carols by the fireside’ service in the church garden (with a real bonfire), to start the Christmas celebrations. It’s not raining, so I’m hoping for clear skies tonight and a good view of some Christmas stars!
