Alphabet Challenge – o for outer space

Hello crafty friends. It’s time for a new theme over at Alphabet Challenge – we’re up to the letter O and Billie has opted for ‘outer space’!

Now I don’t have any space themed supplies, but I remembered the ‘hearty crescent moon’ set from Clarity which I thought would fit the bill from a slightly different angle! I’ve kept it nice and simple (my favourite approach!). I started by heat embossing the crescent moon onto a black 6×6 card blank using WOW’s bright white powder.

I then embossed the little dangle and the sentiment from the set, together wiht the stars from Julie Hickey’s ‘more for the boys’ stamps.

I felt it needed a frame, so added one of the ‘doodle frame-its’ from Clarity that I’d cut from white card.

Come on and join us at Alphabet Challenge, where there’s lots more inspiration from the rest of the design team – we’d love to see your take on outer space! I’m off to share this over at Inkspirational, where their theme is ‘imagine’.

  1. I wouldn’t have thought of taking this approach for the outer space theme, but it’s brilliant! And I love the simple look of white on black and the frame is very decorative, without ruining the clean feel. Thanks for joining our challenge at Inkspirational.
