Clarity Craft Club lookback – friendship

Hello crafty friends and welcome to another Sunday dip back into Clarity’s craft club. This week it’s the friendship cats from November 2021 – it’s a great little art block stamp, but I have to say that when my cats are facing each other this way they’re not generally looking very friendly….!

The first step was to stamp the cats in ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxide onto a square of white card that I’d trimmed to fit a 6×6 card blank.

I then laid the brisk wall stencil over it and brushed ‘speckled egg’ around the outside of the stamp. I didn’t bother masking it, as I was just going for a rough effect and wanted the edges to look soft.

I ran a black Sharpie around the edge, added the sentiment in ‘chipped sapphire and then attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I hope you’re having a good weekend. This card feels very appropriate today as I’m away in Leamington Spa this weekend for a reunion with a group of nursing colleagues, so looking forward to Sunday lunch together in the pub! There’ll be lots to catch up on as it’s some time since we all saw each other.

Before then, I’m going to share this with a few other challenges. I took the layout from Hand Stamped Sentiments, then added in the ‘friendship’ theme from Less is More and the stencil for Inkspirational

  1. Such a cute image, Deborah, love how you placed it over the brick background, like a little hearth opening! And very pretty blue! Thanks so much for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments!
