Welcome to my crafty blog. Well, I’ve had a fabulous day today at the Claritystamp Open Day down in Kent – my first major craft event since the arrival of Covid! So much inspiration from Barbar Gray & the Clarity design team (and maybe a bit of shopping as well…!) Of course, I had to test out one of my new stamps – purely for quality control purposes you understand LOL! I’ve taken the colour palette from CAS Colours and Sketches with the layout from Freshly Made Sketches for this card.

I started by embedding a frame onto the front of an A6 card blank. I had to make my own, as Clarity had sold out of theirs today, so cut a piece of Mylar down to size and rounded the corners with a punch. I attached it to the card front with a little masking tape underneath it, then ran a bone folder around the edges on the inside of the card, which gave me this recessed frame.

I blended Distress Oxides in ‘mustard seed’, ‘villainous potion’ & ‘bundled sage’ onto the ‘woodland ivy art block’ stamp using sponges, spritzed it with a little water and then stamped it into place.

I stamped the little ivy stamp from the set at the top of the image in the ‘villainous potion’ and finished by adding one of the Clarity ‘words sticker’ stamps, again in the purple.

This felt like exactly the right sentiment after such a great day catching up with old friends and meeting some online ones in real life for the first time!
