Welcome to my crafty blog, and a card using Claritystamp designer paper as the main focus. I love looking at abstract paper designs and seeing landscapes, etc, in them. I’ve managed to combine four challenges in this card – you can judge whether I’ve succeeded! I took the layout from CAS Colours and Sketches, with the inspiration photo from Just Add Ink. I picked up ‘sunshine’ from Time Out‘s quotation and the stencil addition from Seize the Birthday

I found a lovely piece of Clarity’s ‘Antarctica’ paper, which had an area that I thought looked like waves against a white sandy beach. I trimmed it down to fit a 6×6 card blank and blended Distress Oxide in ‘dried marigold’ through the ‘sunshine’ stencil, blending a little more pink and lilac around the edge of the rays so it had a softer line against the paper. I ran a black Sharpie around the edges of the paper and then attached it to the card blank.

The next step was to die cut some clouds from SU!’s ‘waves of inspiration’ set and glue those onto the card front.

I finished with a couple of word stickers and the little bird from one of last year’s Craft Club sets.

I’m a bit concerned now that there’s too much pattern on the paper to properly meet CAS Colours & Sketches’ requirements for a ‘clean & simple’ card, but it’s a bit late now! Hopefully the recipient will like it!
Fantastic, and kudos for finding so many challenges! Beautiful card!

Look at you! Combining 4 challenges and rather successfully I would say. Beautiful card – again, can’t say it enough. Love all things Clarity! Their DSP’s are gorgeous – I have all of her vellums – did I say gorgeous already. Beautiful card created with some beautiful paper. I completely felt like I was back at the beach I just left a few hours ago. Love the stenciled sunshine and the clouds are the perfect pop. Love it. Thanks for joining us at CC&S
