lacy round

Welcoem to my crafty blog. After yesterday’s lookiback in Clarity’s craft club, I’ve come right up to date again with the latest stamp from last month – the ‘lacy round’. I had such trouble getting this design to work – I either didn’t get the image to fully stamp, or I got ink splodges, etc, etc… I think this finished one was about attempt number 6 – I was very close to chucking it out of the window, but I got there in the end! I’ve used the sketch from Inspire.Create for my design.

I started by masking off a diagonal across the centre of a piece fo white card and then blended Distress Oxides in ‘picked raspberry’ & ‘chipped sapphire’ into each corner. I tried not to get too much ink along the masking tape, as I wanted to keep the lines quite soft.

I ran my heat gun over the blended ink to make sure it was fully dry before stamping the ‘lacy round’ with WOW’s clear ink and heat embossing it with bright white superfine powder. I basically stamped the image into the corner, then added the outer part along the edge of each triangle.

I finished with a Clarity sentiment stamped in the ‘chipped sapphire’ and attached it to an A6 card blank.

I think it turned out OK in the end – worth the effort!
