Hllo crafty friends. I’m back with a second card today, this time using the latest stencil from Claritystamp’s monthly craft club. I thought this would make a good design for a wedding card, especially with the gorgeous colours from Just Add Ink

I strated by fixing the stencil onto a piece of smooth white card and blended inks through it. I don’t have the SU shades in Just Add Ink’s palette, so went with the nearest ones I had – ‘bundled sage’ & ‘spun sugar’ Distress Oxides and ‘gorgeous grape’ Artistry ink.

I thought it looked a bit flat at this point, so out the stencil back in place and ran it through my Gemini embossing machine using a rubber shim, so the hearts were then raised. I trimmed the card down, added a mount that I’d blended ‘gorgeous grape’ onto, and attached the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank.

I stamped one of the ‘entwined sentiments’ onto a strip of white card, trimmed the end into a banner shape, and added it to the card front with foam pads. I popped a few Glossies hearts in co-ordinating colours around the edges to finish.

Thanks for dropping in. I have to confess, this one took a couple of goes before I got it right (I tried it with chalk paints first – don’t ask!), but it turned out all right in the end.
A lovey card, a great way to use colour. I like the way you have blended the colours together. Chantell Just Add Ink

I love this Deborah. The coloured hearts are blended beautifully and running the card through with the stencil was a genius idea. Makes the hearts really pop. Thanks for joining in with us again at Just Add Ink. x

I wouldn’t have through the colours could transition so seamlessly, but it really looks fabulous! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. Kim
