Hello crafty friends. It’s Sunday so time for another dip back into Claritystamp’s new design club – this is the ‘Christmas words tree’ from December 2017. It’s a great stamp and I decided it didn’t need a lot of embellishment, so have kept it very clean and simple.
I started by making a green A6 card blank from a piece of card stock. I’m using the colours from The Paper Players’ new challenge – I don’t have any card in ‘shaded spruce’ so went for the nearest which is ‘garden green’. I then stamped and heat embossed the ‘Christmas words tree’ using WOW’s clear ink and ‘metallic gold’ superfine powder.

I needed to include some vanilla on the card, so restamped the star at the top of the tree and heat embossed it with WOW’s ‘vanilla white’ powder. This would have been easier had I not already taken the tree stamp off my stamping platform, but I found a little star in Julie Hickey’s ‘all about the boys’ set so used that. The final touch was to add a few sparkly red dots on the tree using ‘cranberry’ Stickles.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m off to share this over with a couple of challenges. You already know that I’ve used the colours from The Paper Players, and AAA cards‘s clean and simple theme this week is ‘Christmas’.

I love your clean and simple tree..the vanilla star is pretty as is your “ornaments”!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at the Players this week and using my colors!
