Hello crafty friends. I’ve had a busy day today out Christmas shopping (got it all virtually done!) so I thought I’d share a more general card today for a bit of balance. Regular readers of this little blog will know that ‘Tina’s floral spray’ from Claritystamp is one of my all-time favourites, and I decided to give it another outing. I’ve taken inspiration from a couple of blog challenges for this one – the colours are from the photo at Inspired by, and I’ve CASE’d (copy and selectively edit) the inspiration card from Global Design Project

I started by stamping the floral spray onto a piece of white card. I cut masks for the flowers from sticky notes before then stencilling over the background with ‘antique linen’ Distress Oxide. I used two Clarity stencils for this – the ‘trellis’ on the upper part and ‘seaweed’ across the lower half.

I then used the infill stamps from the set to add ‘cranberry’ Adirondack ink to the flowers and ‘meadow’ to the leaves. I coloured the little flowers with ‘fancy fuschia’ Artistry ink and a waterbrush.

I mounted the card onto a layer of dark red and then brushed the ‘antique linen’ around the edge of a 54×7 card blank before attaching the topper to it.

I finished by stamping one of Julie Hickey’s sentiment onto a banner die cut which I’d also brushed with the ‘antique linen’. I popped that across the flower stems, together with a co-ordinating bow and added a few red resin dots around the spray as a final touch.
