give thanks to the Lord

Hello crafty friends. Today’s card is another nice and simple CAS one, this time using one of the ‘Bible Verses’ set from Stampendous and Stampin’ Up!’s ‘forever fern’ stamp set. Once again I’ve managed to combine a few blog challenges with this one. I picked up the bible verse to fit The Paper Players‘ theme of ‘give thanks’ and then combined it with the colour palette from TGIF and the new layout from CAS Colours & Sketches.

I don’t have ink pads in the SU colours that TGIF have chosen, so went for the nearest shades in Distress Oxides. I started by stamping the bible verse in ‘salvaged patina’ onto a piece of SU ‘very vanilla’ cardstock and then die cut it.

I then made an A6 card blank from another piece of the ‘very vanilla’ and stamped the ‘forever fern’ leaves and berries in the ‘salvaged patina’ and ‘dried marigold’. Slightly worried that I over cooked it on the right hand side!

I then just popped the die cut topper onto the card front using foam pads for dimension. Job done!

Thanks for dropping in. I’m hoping I’ll manage to fit in a bit of crafting for respite this evening as I’ve been online in meetings all day and my eyes are going square!
