Welcome to my crafty blog and the next in my trip back through the Claritystamp new design club stamps. Today it’s the ‘floral tree’ from May 2017 (which also works upside down as a hanging basket).

I’ve done some repeat stamping for this card, and used the colours from the current challenge at Inspire.Create

I started with a square of smooth white card, trimmed to fit on a 6×6 card blank, and blended ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide around the edges with one of Clarity’s stencil brushes. (I don’t have any Stampin’ Up! ink pads, so this was the nearest I could find to ‘pool party’). I then stamped the ‘floral tree’ in ‘watering can’ Archival ink across the bottom of the card – I started with it upright in the centre at the bottom, then turned it sideways to go along the edge out to each corner. I added another half image on the left hand side and finished with an upside down one at the top to look like a hanging basket.

I have several of Stampin’ Up!’s write markers, so used those to colour in the flowers and leaves – ‘mint macaroon’ for the leaves, ‘misty moonlight’ for the little dotty flowers, ‘highland heather’ for the leafy spray and ‘pale papaya’ for the flowers.

I finished by adding one of the Clarity sentiments in Barbara’s handwriting, stamped in the ‘watering can’, and then attached the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank.

I’ve had such a busy week (and another one to come), so it was really calming just to sit for a while and colour the images in. See you tomorrow.
That is a really lovely little card – thankyou…..
