Welcome to my crafty blog and another rare occasion when there is no stamping at all on my card! I was inspired by the theme over at Just Add Ink to use one of Claritystamp’s ‘skyscape’ dies – I went with New York which is so iconic.

I started with a black 5×5 card blank and attached a piece of Clarity’s ‘Amazonia’ designer paper to it. I love these colours – they made me think of a beautiful morning sunrise with the yellows and pinks in the sky.

I cut the New York skyscape into a smaller square of black card, and trimmed the ‘New York’ words out of it so that the sky was left clear. I then glued the card onto the designer paper.

To finish, I added one of Clarity’s black word stickers. I decided it didn’t need any backing paper as a mount, so that the words popped out from the card – and hopefully they say it all!

I haven’t been to New York for quite a few years and the pandemic put paid to my plans to get there this year. I’ve got a few friends in the USA and I’m hoping that as international travel is now beginning to ease it won’t be too long before I’m back there.
Your cityscape sunrise is just lovely! It has a fabulous glow. Thanks for sharing at Just Add Ink.
